| As they dedicate their love and lives to their households and make constant sacrifices for their family’s & children’s well-being, mothers never retire. For all these, moms deserve more thoughts besides during Mother’s Day. But should mothers also think about planning their own retirement — financially speaking? In this issue, as we give tributes to all mothers, we would also like to give thoughts to a mother’s financial freedom. Mothers deserve a worry-free retirement as well. | | 4 Things Mothers in Singapore Should Do to Plan for Their Finances A 2015 survey showed that 75% of Singaporean mothers surveyed had not even thought about retirement, let alone started planning for it. If you’re spending all your energy running after the kids or making sure they pay attention during tuition, here four things you should not forget to do for your finances. | | Mums, pay attention to finances Financial experts advise that it makes sense for mothers (and just about anyone) to pay attention to their financial affairs. According to the US-based National Centre for Women and Retirement Research, nine out of 10 women will eventually have to manage their finances on their own at some point, due to circumstances ranging from leaving the workforce to care for a family member, to becoming divorced or finding themselves widowed. | | Adult Conversation | How She Saved $100,000 Before Turning 30 | Personal Finance | | Proudly Brought to You I seek to reach out to people who believe in creating a safe financial environment for their loved ones. I’m quite skeptical about Insurance Agents as they gave me impression of “hard selling”, “constant calling” not for updates but to sell new policies to you or leave u “unattended” once u sign on the dotted line.
At first, I was quite worried when my colleague told me my account will be handing over to another Insurance Agent, as I’m not sure if I am able to communicate freely with her. Things changed the day I met Joo Chin in real life.
First impression that I’ve got for Joo Chin: She’s not afraid to voice out what coverage you need but do not have.
Joo Chin is an insightful, broad minded, truthful, dutiful & sociable agent 😀 . To be exact, she’s more like a “caretaker”of your personal benefits rather than a normal Insurance Agent on the street.
Years down the road with Joo Chin as my Insurance Agent, she never fails to keep track and provide constant updates of my policies. Yes, like most agents, she will definitely promote or try to update what are the potential addition we should have. But most importantly she does not “hardsell”.
She ensures that she shares all benefits of having the policy and she leaves the decision entirely to you.
Long story short, Joo Chin is definitely someone you can rely on.
Rest assured that she is not like those agents out there just trying to sell their products and leave u in no man’s land once u sign on the dotted line. Instead, she ensures you are well taken care of because she does not want any of her clients to suffer the same experience as her beloved mom.

I’m glad our paths crossed through our ex company.
My first impression of Joo was that she’s a petite young polite lady. Little did I know Joo is an insurance agent till we get to know each other more.
To cut the story short, I seek Joo’s advice regarding one of my policies which I signed up at a bank from a lady who approached me when I was dealing with some personal bank stuff.
When I needed advice from this particular person, she was uncontactable and would reject my phone call.
I learnt my lesson not to sign any policy or savings plan through bank as they merely prioritize sales and there is no after-sales service.
Joo was my saviour. She advised me the best way to deal with the situation and patiently explained on my next course of action as well as suggested a few ways to solve the issue.
Thereafter, I transferred all my policies with Prudential (as these policies are managed by someone whom I do not know) to be managed under Joo.
My whole family is now at ease as we have a reliable and responsible agent to handle our policies.
I am so relieved now and Joo is highly recommended as she’s not merely ‘selling’ policies. She will insure you with service above and beyond. Even during her confinement!
Many thanks to you, Joo for being such a thoughtful and trustworthy agent. I wish you the best of everything in your future endeavours :) | | | | Seri, Admin Executive Joo Chin is not only my insurance agent, she is my ex school mate and ex colleague turned good friend. We connected instantly due to similar vibes. I was in the hands of a seriously pushy and judgemental agent previously. As soon as I found out Joo Chin is from the same insurance company, I asked if she was willing to take over my policies. Of course this is an added administative work for her as she does not gain any commission from me. However due to her kindred spirit, she readily accepts my request. We have come a long way since. Joo Chin is not just my agent or friend, she is like family. She is not judgemental, she listens and gives wise advice. She promotes products but will never be pushy. She is really hardworking and disciplined. She keeps track of my investment progress and gives me timely updates. I love how she is an agent with a heart. She thinks of my mum during Mothers' Day and sends flowers. She even helped me promote and supported my little home baking business while I was unemployed. She is someone I feel at total ease with. Trustworthy, hardworking, disciplined, organised and wise 🥰 | | | | Sharon Yuen, Executive Assistant Ms. Joo Chin has been providing us with such professional and efficient service since I first engaged for my family insurance a couple of years ago.
She has always responded to our requests quickly. Kudos to her extra effort, responsive, professional service, excellent job done to complete my policy. Will highly recommend it to all who want to consider buying any kind of insurance. No hard sell from her as she genuinely proposed the right policy to cater to your needs!
Overall, thumbs up!! | | | | Syafiqah, Laboratory Technician Joo Chin understands my needs and expectations. I love it when she patiently explains the policy to me, making sure I understand them. One thing I like about her is, she is not pushy. I always get turned off by agents who are pushy. But she’s not. She accommodates to the policy that I NEED based on my occupation/ personal life. Overall, she’s someone I trust and believe in.

With Joo as a financial planner, I feel assured that my best interest is taken care of. She keeps me posted of any news that impact my policies and even looks out for better alternative options years after my policy has been bought.
I really appreciate her level of service and dedication. Highly recommended because she truly cares!
